“Thay Cheeeeth!!”

“Thay Cheeeeth!!”

For those of you that haven’t heard…poor little Ellie had quite the eventful day this past Friday. After Cameron’s Mother’s Day show at his school, a bunch of families and their kids went to McDonald’s for lunch – sounds innocent enough, right? Wrong. Ellie decided to add a little excitement to the day. She was propping herself up between two benches, and kind of swinging back and forth, when she suddenly lost her balance. She fell and hit the floor face first. One look at her and Jen knew something just wasn’t right. Aside from all the blood coming from her mouth, Jen saw that one of her front teeth was pushed back and up into her gums. Jen rushed her down to Children’s Hospital in Denver where they ended up having to pull her two front teeth :( She had broken one of them and the other was slightly chipped, and the doctor’s said they both needed to come out. Ellie was such a brave little girl and did sooooooo well considering what was happening. Jen and I felt so bad for her, but thankfully, she’s already bounced back and is getting used to the change. She does have a hard time eating…and speaking is pretty much an adventure for now, but we’re sure she’ll get the hang of it. So – who would have thought the tooth-fairy would be visiting Ellie before Cameron!?!? Go figure.
Other than that, we had a great weekend, and Mother’s Day was a wonderful day. The garden is now ‘mostly’ planted after nearly 4 hrs of work in it yesterday. We planted raspberries, lettuce, spinach, onions, radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, hot peppers, beans and a few other things I can’t remember right now. We were a little worried about the weather, as clouds started rolling in around noon, but it ended up being an absolutely gorgeous day. Here are some pictures of Cameron in his Mother’s Day play, as well as some garden pics!

Also, as promised last week, here are some more pictures from the past few weeks. We had such a lovely visit with Grandma and got some good pictures (except for Cameron and his goofy-faces!). Also, I threw in some pictures of Cameron’s last game, Ellie lookin’ cute, and CJ’s first bath…I think you can tell by the picture that he would have rather been elsewhere at the time.

Take Care,
MJCEC

Hi MJCEC, what a fun sight to read!
Your family is having quite a summer already! Our Grand-daughter, Kelsey is a catcher also. She will be in 2nd grade. Matt, you are doing an awesome job with your web page. Keep it up, I feel like we are right next door! It was so nice seeing all of you last summer at the lake house. Take care of each other!
    Love, Tom and Becky
