It seems like just yesterday that Jen and I were toasting in the new year with our friends Chris & Molly…and yet we have already turned our calendars to the month of February! Our family had such a wonderful month, I thought I would take just a few minutes to just remember some of the great times – as well as share some pictures you might not have seen. Hope you enjoy!
So when I was looking back at these pictures, I realized that even though we were extremely busy this past month – it was just a drop in the bucket compared to November and December. And while we absolutely loved having family visit for the holidays, it was nice to settle back into the new year and try to establish a little bit of a routine again after a few crazy months. I feel we did a really good job getting our feet under us and getting the family prepared for a fun 2009.
This month saw Cameron start his first game of basketball, as well as really begin to get involved with Cub Scouts…and Ellie continued her ballet classes as well as starting Daisies. And while CJ doesn’t have his own activities yet, he is such a wonderful supporter of his big brother & sister – and tags along to ALL their events! Also, much to the kids delight, we were finally able to bring back ‘Family Game Night’ on Saturdays…what a great tradition this has been.
As for weather, January wasn’t exactly the best month when it came to ‘winter’, although we were lucky enough to get a few inches of snow for the kids to play in. We were also treated to some wonderful sunsets…bald eagles…full moons…etc. It was quite the picturesque start to the year. Also, our website really blossomed in January. Judging by the feedback, the new layout seems to finally be working nicely…and we’ve got more fun updates planned for February – so stay tuned!
I think that about sums up a great month on our end. We hope you all had as nice of a start to 2009 as we did.

Where did the month go? Great pictures. Cameron looks like he is quite the basketball player, must be those games he and I had in the garage a year ago that gave him the skills????? Ellie looks so graceful. CJ is just plain cute, as are you and Jen. Thanks for the update. So glad we were able to be there with you, just sorry ol Gramps wasn’t feeling well New Year’s Eve.
