Today was such a big day for our family as we walked Ellie to her first day of First Grade, and Cameron to his first day of Third Grade! We could not be more proud of our wonderful little kiddos, and it was a special morning that we enjoyed sooooooo much.
Oddly enough, I have to say Cameron was a little more nervous than Ellie (but he got my nervous-worry-about-everything-stomach so I can’t blame him!). They both did great and we were able to talk with friends and neighbors as we waited for the bell to ring. And with one last ‘Goodbye Daddy!’, Ellie turned and walked through the door.
Sad? Of course. But I really am excited to get back into some sort of ‘regular’ schedule (starting next week of course). After such a whirlwind/amazing summer, the whole family needs to just relax and ease back into the day-to-day routines we have perfected over the years.
