“Nice to meet you Mr. Eeyore…”

“Nice to meet you Mr. Eeyore…”

As threatened promised, there was no way I was going to do just one Disney World post on this site.  The trip was just tooooooo amazing to cram into a few paragraphs!  So, for the latest update, I thought I would focus on all the special Disney characters the kiddos were able to meet while we were visiting the various parks.  I didn’t really think we got to meet that many, but after editing these in Photoshop for the past few hours, I realize we didn’t do too bad!

What was strange to me right off the bat is that you can’t just ‘bump into’ characters any more and get your picture taken with them.  Those days are gone and replaced by ‘Character Spots’ throughout the parks, where they show up for a set amount of time throughout the day.  Of course all this preparation and organization equals one thing………..lines!  In Epcot there’s even a dedicated section of the building where you wait in line and weave your way through a half-dozen characters!  Where’s the fun in that!?!

Luckily for the kids, we were able to stumble upon some characters at just the right time, so we didn’t have to wait in the long lines (Tinkerbell was over an hour btw!!).  And while I was annoyed at times to take a break from the rides to stand in line to get a picture with a character, I’m glad we have these pictures as souveniers of the kiddos first experiences with all-things-Disney!

I hope you enjoy the pictures…and as a little present for the lovely Mrs. Oldweiler, I went ahead and created a handful of desktop wallpapers of the kiddos with their favorite characters!  The wallpapers are all 1440 x 900 pixels – so just save ‘em and use ‘em and enjoy ‘em if you wish!!

Don’t forget to head on over to our Flickr account and you’ll see scads more pictures from our trip!!!

Until the next post…we hope everyone is still having a ‘magical’ Autumn like we are!
Take care,

Wow, these are great. Love the Eyeore ones! Ellie actually matched costume colors in several and Cameron had fantastic smiles! Great pics. I have to figure out how to do the wallpaper thingy :) Love and miss you all.

Oh, my. These are fantastic. I left a reply earlier from work but it did not show up. Love the smiles. Ellie’s color choice matched several of the characters. Think Eyeore is Cory’s fav as he is the only one where the fingers aren’t in his mouth. Love that one with his hands on Eyeore’s face. Cameron has some great smiles. Now I need to see if I can figure out the wallpaper thingy :) Love these!!! Thank you.
