It’s beginning to look a lot like…

After an unbelievably busy Thanksgiving weekend, our family is knee-deep in Christmas spirit.  And while I’m so sore I can barely move, I am thrilled to have the house decorated!  This past year has just flown by, and I can’t believe it is already time to celebrate Christmas.  But before we get ahead of ourselves, perhaps a little rundown of the weekend is in order…

One of our favorite traditions is heading down to my Dad and Tina’s house for Thanksgiving…and this year was no different.  Prior to heading down, Cameron helped me wash the car (since it was 60+ degrees out!) while Jen got the last minute baking done.  We enjoyed a wonderful meal with family and friends, and ended up staying for quite some time.  Once we got in the car it was time to crank the Christmas music!  The kids were so cute – singing and giggling the whole way home (until they fell asleep that is).

Friday brought with it some insane shopping by Jen, while the kiddos and I busted out the decorations.  It ended up taking all weekend, but when all was said and done, we got EVERYTHING decorated!!  The house took Friday and Saturday (and a little Sunday), while we tackled the tree on Saturday.  I cannot express how much I love having our decorations up, as it just adds that little ‘extra’ to the holiday season.

Here are a few pictures of what kept us so busy the past few days:

We hope everyone had as wonderful of a Thanksgiving weekend as we did, and we hope you enjoy a safe and wonderful holiday season!

PS. This picture really doesn’t have anything to do with this post…but something about it just cracks me up :)
