A ‘Sports-filled’ Weekend

A ‘Sports-filled’ Weekend

Although we are accustomed to squeezing in a couple of soccer games each weekend, we were lucky enough to also catch a baseball game as well!  It was the final Saturday of soccer games for the spring season, so we made sure to cheer extra-hard for our amazing kiddos as they finished the season on a high note…and since Cory’s daycare had a special promo day on Sunday, we headed down to Coors Field for the game!

The first event of the weekend was Cameron’s soccer game early Saturday morning.  So early in fact, that the previous days rain did not have a chance to evaporate – leaving massive puddles throughout the field.  The rain did nothing to slow the team down, as they played great on the way to an exciting 3-3 tie.  Ellie’s game was much dryer, and the score was not as close.  Ellie played so well and really showed some intensity in her final game of the season.

As for the Rox game, I have to admit I wasn’t sure how Sunday would go, but lo and behold I was pleasantly surprised.  The kids were awesome, and we were able to stay the whole nine innings and watch the Rockies win 2-1.  Aside from some poor-eating decisions on my part (kettle corn, beer, sunflower seeds, monster nachos, tornadough), the day was amazing – and we can’t wait to head back down to the ballpark with the fam’.

Here are some pics from our fun-filled-sports-weekend:

Hopefully everyone else had as spectacular of a weekend as we did!
Take care,
