So this is a puzzle that we haven’t been able to solve. There we were on the Safari ride in Animal Kingdom when our driver stopped the van and told everyone to be quiet. He informed us we were incredibly lucky to see a lion up close and personal. And sure enough, we looked out of our vehicle and saw a lion asleep under the tree right next to our bus!!.
The puzzle is the fact that we aren’t sure the lion is for real!? Honestly, it’s almost too picturesque. So, what do you think? Is this for real?, or is it just another piece of Disney ‘magic’?

Who can forget their first visit to Disney World? Certainly not our kiddos who woke up one Saturday morning to find their bags packed and plane tickets ready. The ’surprise’ trip was truly a magical time, and we enjoyed one of our best vacations ever.

The entire Walt Disney World ‘campus’ is just crawling with wildlife…literally in this case. We stopped outside the Rose & Crown for a quick beer before our lunch when this little guy crawled up. He was in no hurry whatsoever, and just slowly made his way along the gutter. I guess it is a pretty good gig to be a bug in Epcot.

This picture was taken during our visit to Disney World in the Fall of 2009. This particular shot was taken at Animal Kingdom, and it shows the centerpiece of the entire park: the ‘Tree of Life’
I tried really hard to ensure there were no people in the picture, but now I almost wish there were for scale factors alone. This tree stands hundreds of feet tall and is a breathtaking site in person. The entire trunk is a gigantic sculpture of various animals, and inside/under the tree is the ‘It’s Tough to be a Bug’ 3D movie/ride.

I really stumbled upon this picture as we were stopping for a water break at the Magic Kingdom. I hadn’t seen these purple berries anywhere else in the park so I decided to take a closer look. I love this picture because it shows just how hot it is in Florida – even the vegetation is sweating!!

This is a detail shot of the geodesic dome of the Epcot Center ‘ball’ in Orlando, FL. Inside this dome is the Spaceship Earth ride which presents a history of communication – from the dawn of time all the way through today.
